Telecoms World Asia is a platform where the industry’s leaders can meet, exchange ideas and discuss strategies that will set the course for the telecom businesses for the next decade.
For 2020, we’ve put together an agenda that addresses the key issues that operator are facing today, classified under 5 key themes – Wholesale Carriers, Network Virtualisation, Telco 4.0, 5G and new for 2020, Intelligent Connectivity – with the focus on Intelligent Connectivity in Asia running through the sessions. Come July 2020, we look forward to exciting debates as we welcome over 1200 attendees from Asia Pacific’s telecoms industry and beyond in one of the region’s fast-developing markets – Bangkok, Thailand.
Access to public information is an essential service of a library. During a global pandemic, this has never been more important as the digital divide widens into a digital chasm and access to information and education services are needed more than ever.
The virtual session, ‘What is a Library if the Building is Closed?’ has gathered over 800 people from 41 states to address the challenges that libraries are facing to provide vital services like: internet access, digital services, physical materials and social infrastructure.
To join the action supporting access to WiFi for 10’s or even 100’s of millions of people in the US and worldwide, register to join the session taking place every Friday on Zoom to extend connectivity beyond the walls.

More than 50 leaders in the ICT and telecommunication industry in Africa and beyond will gather in Johannesburg, South Africa, between the coming April, to discuss efforts aiming to embrace the launch of 5G network which is set to revolutionize the industry in Africa.
This has become necessary because the world we live today, mobile communication is a cardinal tool of economic development, growth and integration, and the mobile industry is a key enabler of productivity across economies and societies. The mobile industry is not only a significant contributor to the economic activities of Africa, but also towards the growth of other sectors of the economy in the continent.
5G Africa Forum which is scheduled to hold 7th – 8th October, 2020 in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa will look at the progress that has been made to date and the challenges ahead for policy-makers and stakeholders. Key areas being covered include connectivity, future deployment and business model impact. It will look at what a 5G world might look like and where Africa sits at a global level as it seeks to deliver on making 5G a reality by 2020.
The event provides a valuable opportunity to meet and interact with the 5G drivers in terms of wireless industry, players, researchers and stakeholders, bringing together some of the leaders in the industry who have been involved in development and commercialization of 5G across the globe. With the wireless industry on the verge of commercial launch of 5G, these leaders will share their experience of what it takes to commercialize 5G and offer insights into the promise of 5G.
